HDMI Capture Card by Blackmagic Design
Problem: You somehow need to capture HDMI playing from a source (like an HDMI camcorder, Blu-Ray player, PS3, Set-top box, DVR, etc.) to your computer (Mac or PC).
The Best Solution: Blackmagic Intensity Pro HDMI capture card, (PCI Express)
Full Retail Price: $199
Seen for: $188.95
Why I like this Card
First off, this is way way more than just HDMI capture, it's also an extremely comprehensive analog capture device and allows you to bring in uncompressed real-deal HDMI video, allowing you to edit in 1920 HD resolutions (not just in HDV). All of this on the same card (with included break-out cable) which works either with Windows or OSX (Mac).
Real time Hardware Based Video Processing: There's no better way to process and scale video than the real way: through the hardware itself. Colorspace conversion, automatic real-time scaling during capture and/or playback, and other real time effects such as Apple Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere are built-in.
